MEET the INLET VEIN SPECIALISTS TEAM

KARL HUBACH, M.D., RVT
Dr. Karl Hubach graduated from George Washington Medical School in 1990 and moved to Murrells Inlet in 1996. In 1997, Dr. Hubach began his study and specialty work in the treatment of venous disease. Because there have been so many advancements in this area of medicine, the American Medical Association now recognizes this area of medicine as a new specialty field called, Phlebology. In May 2008, by meeting extensive prerequisite qualifications and successfully passing a written examination, Dr Hubach was among the first 248 physicians in the country to become Board Certified in Phlebology.
Dr. Hubach has trained with internationally known Phlebology experts and has dedicated himself to the comprehensive study of Phlebology. He has had the pleasure to write for text books and magazines, and to lecture on venous disease and the current treatment options. He is Board Certified in Phlebology, an active member of the American College of Phlebology, and is a certified Registered Vascular Technologist. Dr. Hubach is excited about being a part of this new specialty field of medicine and being able to offer the latest in diagnosis and treatment of venous disease.
MAUDENA P. JOYE
Better known as Dena, is married with three children, one son in-law and the proud grandmother of one beautiful little girl.

She was born and raised in Sumter, SC. After graduation, she worked as the secretary at the Tuomey Hospital LPN School. She was responsible for the entrance exams, and the student’s and doctor’s Libraries. In 1991 she entered the music industry, which brought her to the beach area where she has remained.  It gave her the opportunity to work with some of the greatest musicians and vocalists in the music field.  She became an accomplished singer, and was able to help in the production of shows and work in the marketing and business side of the industry.

In 1997 Dena went to work with Horry county school system in their food services as a dietician. Two years later she went to work for Inlet Medical Associates working as a receptionist and managing the American Cancer Societies, Best Chance Network.

In 2002, she was hired as the office manager for Inlet Vein Specialists, PC.  She has received training and certificates for chemical peels, micro dermabrasion, and the use of Quantum IPL laser.  Dena’s diverse background and personality has shaped her into an exceptionally responsible, caring, and understanding person.  These qualities become quickly apparent as she works with the patients both by phone and in the office.

CONNIE KIDD
Connie is married, the mother of two girls and a grandmother of two beautiful grandchildren. She also has two stepsons and two step grandsons.

Connie grew up in Orangeburg, SC. and attended Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College.  There she received her medical office assistant degree. She worked for a family practice office in Bamberg, SC for 12 years performing duties including filing insurance, lab procedures and nursing. 

After moving to Myrtle Beach in 1990, she helped open Inlet Medical Associates, a local family practice office.  She worked in the front office scheduling appointments, managing patients, handling insurance billing, and ensuring the practice ran efficiently. 

In 2000, Connie began working with Dr. Hubach as his nurse.  Since that time, she has enjoyed learning the different procedures performed at Inlet Vein Specialists, and assisting in the treatment of venous disease.  She has also been trained in the use of Intense Pulse Light (IPL) to treat various skin lesion and facial capillaries.
